Camilla and I have been friends for a little over a year, and we've grown pretty close over that time. Back in November, she came up from New Jersey to visit Loretta and me and decided she wanted to do a boudoir session as a gift to herself for Christmas. Personally, I was pretty excited. I've quickly come to realize that boudoir may be the most fun I've ever had while shooting, and Camilla is the wise-cracking, sarcastic kind of person who can make it even more fun.
In addition to the shoot, it was the first time I was taking my new Nikon D850 out for a run, and I was incredibly excited to play around with it and put it through its paces. Of course, the camera didn't disappoint and I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of the images we produced.
Camilla, on the other hand, was pretty nervous. She'd never done or considered boudoir, and it finally caught up with her that it was really happening. It took a few minutes to break the ice, but once she relaxed, things flowed incredibly well and our creativity meshed well.
During a typical boudoir shoot like this, there are outfit changes to go along with different poses and lighting styles. In this instance, however, Camilla was comfortable with what she was wearing and we the accessories she brought worked well together.
I'm absolutely thrilled with the results of our shoot, and I know Camilla is as well. I've got a few more coming up, so be sure to keep an eye on my blog. Don't forget, with Valentine's day coming up, now is the perfect time to book your shoot to be sure you get them in time!
