As many of you are aware, my wife and I started this business as a way to help a hobby pay for itself. I've always been fascinated by photography, and the more I've practiced it, the better I've gotten. Imagine that right? With the advice of some very supportive friends and family, I pooled some money, bought better equipment, and hung out my shingle. It's a pretty slow process given that this isn't my primary source of income, but I love every minute of it. Aside from the constant challenge of bettering myself for my clients and family, I really enjoy working with people and capturing a few moments of their chaotic lives (see what I did there?). The website is pretty basic right now, and I'm sure it will evolve as I learn more and as you suggest more. I don't like to call myself a professional photographer even though I get paid to take pictures. I'll always be hard on myself, but at this stage of my development, I just don't feel like I am in the same class as those who've been doing it for many, many years. On the other hand, everyone of my clients has been very satisfied with their pictures. I most enjoy shooting kids, posing them is like herding cats, but have a little patience, and the results can be priceless.
